Russell Newman

President of HealthTronics

Mr. Newman was appointed to President of HealthTronics in February 2014.  Previously, Mr. Newman served as Vice President and General Manager for HealthTronics' General Urology Solutions, a position which he was appointed to in September 2011.  Mr. Newman joined HealthTronics in 2008 as a Senior Financial Consultant and was soon promoted to Director of Business Planning & Operations. Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Newman held various finance positions with Dell, Inc., where he was recognized for his outstanding performance through nominations in the CFO Award program and participation in the CFO Finance Rotation Program. Prior to Dell, Mr. Newman held positions of increasing responsibility with Arthur Andersen and Property Crossing LLC. Mr. Newman holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas and is a licensed CPA.

F. Bruce Cohen

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Cohen was appointed to Chief Operating Officer in November 2016.  Mr. Cohen joined HealthTronics in March 2016 as Vice President of Corporate Development.  Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Cohen served as Chief Executive Officer of United Therapies, LLC, a national mobile provider of lithotripsy and laser services, which HealthTronics acquired in March 2016.  Mr. Cohen joined United Therapies in March 2003 and served as its Chief Financial Officer until August 2010. Prior to joining United Therapies, Mr. Cohen was a lawyer in Chicago focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate issues.  Mr. Cohen is a founder and director of the non-profit Knock Foundation, which operates an orphanage in Tanzania and builds schools and conducts medical missions throughout Africa. Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of Camp Ramah in Wisconsin and the Council of Urologic Interests and is a member of the Alumni Council of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.  Mr. Cohen received a J.D. from Boston College Law School, an M.P.A. from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Clint B. Davis

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Davis joined HealthTronics in July 2009 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Davis served as the Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel of Endocare, Inc., a medical device company headquartered in Irvine, California, which HealthTronics acquired in July 2009. Prior to that, Mr. Davis practiced corporate and securities law with Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Diego, Troy & Gould LLP in Los Angeles and Bingham Dana LLP in Boston. Mr. Davis obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Classics from Rice University.

Scott Eden

Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Mr. Eden was appointed to Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and Quality in June 2013.  Mr. Eden joined HealthTronics in July 2010 as Senior Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory.  Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Eden played a global role at Zimmer Orthopedics serving as their Global Director, CAPA and Supplier Quality.  Prior to that Mr. Eden worked for Smith & Nephew as Group Manager, Quality Systems and Compliance.  Preceding that, Mr. Eden worked for Synthes USA where he held a variety of Regulatory and Compliance Management related positions.  Mr. Eden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University.

Julie Gagliardotto

Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Gagliardotto was appointed Chief Compliance Officer in October 2016.  Prior to joining HealthTronics, Ms. Gagliardotto served as a Senior Vice President &Compliance Officer of United Therapies, LLC, a national mobile provider of lithotripsy and laser services which HealthTronics acquired in March 2016.  In this role, she designed and implemented corporate compliance plan activities and served as United’s HIPAA Privacy Officer in addition to participating as a key member of the leadership team.  Prior to this position, Ms. Gagliardotto spent twenty-one years as the Chief Operating Officer of United Therapies, LLC, expanding the company from a single fixed site outpatient urological center to a nationally recognized mobile service provider. .  Ms. Gagliardotto holds a M.S. in Health Systems Management from Rush University and her B.S. summa cum laude in Health & Safety Education from University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana.

Gary J. Kozen

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Kozen was appointed Vice President of Operations in 2001. He brings deep domain knowledge to his role, with over 30 years of direct experience in managing mobile medical operations. Mr. Kozen is involved in most aspects of the HealthTronics business ranging from executive management of operations to direct physician relationship management. Mr. Kozen joined HealthTronics in February 1989 as National Transportation Manager. Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Kozen worked for several mobile medical imaging companies managing field operations.

Jose E. Martinez

Vice President of Human Resources

Mr. Martinez was appointed to Vice President of Human Resources in February 2014.  Mr. Martinez joined HealthTronics in April 2012 as Senior Director of Human Resources.  Mr. Martinez has a diverse background in human resources management, with nearly 20 years of domestic and international HR and consulting experience.  Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Martinez served as Director of Human Resources at Advanced Micro Devices, and held various domestic and international human resources positions at Dell.  Mr. Martinez also has 12 years of experience at Accenture, consulting on systems implementations and process assignments.  Mr. Martinez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Matthew McIntyre

Vice President of Growth and Development

Mr. McIntyre joined HealthTronics is July 2015 as the Vice President of Growth and Development.  Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. McIntyre was the owner and CEO of Laser Ventures, a mobile solutions provider focused on medical laser technology, which HealthTronics acquired in May 2015.  During his tenure at Laser Ventures, the company experienced exponential growth for six consecutive years and established itself as a leader in the Southeast mobile medical market.  Prior to growing Laser Ventures, Mr. McIntyre’s career was in the energy industry, where he used his financial expertise in planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategy and management.  Mr. McIntyre holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Emory University and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University.  

Richard A. Rusk

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Rusk was appointed Chief Financial Officer of HealthTronics in November 2009. Mr. Rusk joined HealthTronics in August 2000 as Corporate Controller and was named Vice President in June 2002. In June 2006, Mr. Rusk was named Treasurer and in September 2006, he also became the Company's Secretary. Prior to joining HealthTronics, Mr. Rusk, a CPA, was with KPMG LLP for approximately seventeen years, the last ten as a Senior Audit Manager. Mr. Rusk holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Baylor University.

Debbie J. Scott

Vice President of Customer Relations

Ms. Scott was appointed Vice President of Customer Relations in 2016.  Ms. Scott joined HealthTronics in 1997 and has extensive experience building and managing positive relationships with customers through physician partnerships and facility contracts.  Previously, Ms. Scott served as an Area Vice President for nine years working as a primary contact for physicians and facilities in HealthTronics’ Urology Services division.  Ms. Scott previously worked as a legal assistant for Finch & Pone in Fayetteville, NC, and holds an Associate Degree from Fayetteville Community College.

Argil J. Wheelock

Chief Medical Advisor

Dr. Wheelock became HealthTronics' Chief Medical Advisor in March 2006. Dr. Wheelock is a Board Certified Urologist and Chief of Urology at Erlanger Medical Center, a level one trauma center and University of Tennessee teaching hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Wheelock is a founder of HealthTronics and served as Chairman and CEO from 1996 to 2005. Dr. Wheelock is widely known among the U.S. Urological community for bringing clinical benefits to patients and economic value to urology practices. Dr. Wheelock graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed urological training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
